Albion Girls Newsletter April 2009

Now that our season has come to an end with the great success with our final home game last weekend. A huge thank you to all of you that helped out to make it such a successful day the raffle and donations tallied up to 130 towards the costs for girls tour to Sherborne.

There are a few important dates for you to be aware of:-

18th/19th April

Girls on tour to Thorpe Park and matches at Sherborne RFC, supporters bus going up to Sherborne on Sunday 19th April.

Tuesday 21st April

There will be a parent/player meeting at Albion this is to enable players and parents to tell us how you think the season has gone what you would like out of next season. We are looking for parents to help volunteer and assist in roles such as fund raising committee, tour committee, and welfare officers those parents that have played rugby to get involved with the training sessions.

17th May

HERTs 7s Tournament - wed like to raise some more funds to be able to supply the girls with playing shirts that will costs about 20.00 per shirt with the view that the girls can keep them. So we are looking in the region of 200 - 500 to be raised. This means all of you girls that are going need to help raise these funds.

14th April 15th May

Training will continue on Tuesdays and Fridays with 7s training as those girls that put there names down for HERTs 7s tournament at Old Albans RFC. Bethan from the Ladies has offered to help us out as 7s is her speciality. However, training is open to all girls not just those training for 7s.

19th May September

Training on Tuesdays only 6:00 7:30 to allow the coaching and welfare staff to spend time with their family throughout the summer.

Friday 12th June

End season awards/dinner this year we have a joint evening with the Albion ladies and girls. Tickets are 12.00 each and available from Sarah & Sonia. We also plan to have a raffle on the evening to help raise funds for both the ladies and girls...

U15 Girls

Come on girls next season the U18s will have a squad of 28 or more which leaves us with a small amount of U15s use the summer training sessions to bring along friends and build up the U15 team.
